US Accounting Specialist

Overview

A We are looking for US Accounting Specialist for one of our US based clients who has experience working
as US Accountant and is knowledgeable with US GAAP and IFRS. Tool to be used is QuickBooks so it is also
a requirement for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and assist in reconciling daily inventory purchasing activity made via credit cards, checks, ACH,
    wire, etc. and ensure proper tracking/recordation in QuickBooks
  • Assist with financial statement preparation and related analyses
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations for all cash accounts
  • Handle checklist tasks necessary for new AFB partner or Consignor relationships
  • Initiate all inventory purchasing transactions in online banking platform and seek necessary approvals 
  • Communicate and work with the Purchasing Team to ensure all credit card purchases are PO' into our system timely and accurately
  • Inform Purchasing Team of unreconciled transactions and ensure they are addressed timely.
  • Perform necessary upload into QuickBooks to record the prior day's reconciled credit card (inventory)
    purchasing activities
  • Recording transactions in accounts receivable application (POS)
  • Accounts Payable daily processes including: obtaining vendor invoices, seeking necessary approvals,
    entering bills into accounting system, compiling necessary support, providing to Senior Accountant for
    review

Skills & Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in Accounting
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Working with multiple departments to acquire needed information to assist accounting
  • Analytical skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Excel knowledge and advanced formulas, macros knowledge a plus
  • QuickBooks certified a plus
